What advice would you now give to someone writing his/her first scienfific paper.

Hello everyone, well here we are at the end of our term, I must say it went so fast and I am going to miss this class and everyone. I have learned so much throughout the term, but the one thing that I would like to comment on is what advice would I now give to someone writing his/her first scientific paper. First of all I would say that no matter how intimidated you are on starting to write we have all got to start somewheres, so it is always better to start early with doing research. I never realized how much actually goes into writing but a person cannot just sit down and write a paper and turn it in, oh no no no there is so much more to it. Like when I first started comp. 1 class I never knew about plagiarism and how serious it is but I do now. Writing is not just about putting stuff down on paper, it is about plagiarism, grammar, in text citing, paragraph structure, run on sentences, references, and so much more. When you write your first paper, and you have to write peer reviews think of it as a way of learning and not as someone is critisizing your work. I really like the idea of peer reviews because I learned from them and used them in my paper, to make my paper sound better, it is always helpful to have another set of eyes looking at your paper and giving you ideas. The biggest advise to someone is to start early and keep motivated, because in the end it all works out. Good luck to everyone in their careers.
